This is believed to be an 18th Century English Brass Snuff Box. Unusual oval teardrop shape. Hinge is tight and in good condition. There are no maker markings on it, other than the #8 over and under the hinge. Overall this box is in very good condition for its age.
Measures: 4 3/4" width, 3 1/4" depth, 1 7/8" height.
19th Century antique cross hatch motif 2 3/16" wide x 1 9/16" deep x 5/8" thick, snuff box!
