This antique snuff box is unbelievably detailed from birch bark. I used to collect snuff boxes and this is one of my finest. The inscriptions are in Swedish. The top inscription translates as follows: "Tac En Pris!" which means "Take A Prize!". The bottom inscription translates as follows: "Tack Godtsnus." which means "Thanks A Good Snus". The 6 inch ruler is for scale and is not included.
If you are not entirely happy with the snuff box, let me know within 3 days and I'll accept its return as long as it's in the same condition as received and you pay the return postage. Please see my other items for another of my snuff box collection.

This snuff box is oval in shape. It is silver ( could be silver plate). It is dated as shown “Patd Jan 24, 1860”. (Civil War period). It measures about 3 1/8 inches by 2 inches by 5/8 inched deep. It is marked/dated as shown “Patd Jan 24 1860” with a Star and “C Parker”. It features a Civil War scene on the cover depicting a military officer with a shovel. He looks to be burying a fellow fallen soldier. There is a wrecked cannon to one side and a landscape, water and boat and plantation in the background. It’s an amazing Civil War relic. It is in nice condition with wear to the scene on the cover.
