antique family shoe snuff box, Papier Mache With mother of pearl inlay, 1850. Condition is "Used". Shipped with USPS Priority. This larger than usual, thus family, snuff box is 4 “ in length, 1 1/4” high by the heel, and 1 “ wide across the lid. The papier mache, black snuff is in the style of a period shoe, there are very small signs of wear, but in general, the snuff is in excellent condition. The lid is secure and is highlighted by a beautiful oval piece of mother of pearl.
