This English Sterling Silver Snuff Box is beautifully engraved with a floral design. It is marked on the inside of the bottom as shown in photos. The marks are a Lion indicating Sterling Silver, an anchor for Birmingham, an O for the date (not sure of the date), a duty mark and the makers mark “IT” (possibly John Turner) It is monogrammed “AW To MAR”. Extremely rare 19th Century or earlier figural snuff box in the form of the Henry VIII warship the Mary Rose, affectionately titled "Maggie". In pretty fine condition overall it bears the remnants of it's silvered lining. There is wear to the penwork detailing as shown. It measures 2" tall by 4" long. dates to the 19th Century or possibly even earlier.
