Antique Scottish snuff box. Cowrie shell set in unmarked silver metal. Underside has hinged opening engraved "A. Cheyne - Hae A Snuff." Measures 2-7/8 inches long, 2 inches wide and 1-1/2 inches tall. Hinge has possible replaced part on inside and lid does not stay closed, otherwise excellent condition.
Antique Metal Snuff Box - Civil War Era?
Appears to be lead lined. No marks. Bottom is slightly rounded. Measures about 3.33" long, 2.3" wide, and .76" thick. Lots of wear.
