We
are offering an oval antique hand made American tin snuff box
acquired in Maine. Though the paint looks black, it is actually a
very dark blue and has some age and use losses to the surface. The heart shaped lid is hinged and has a clasp with good snap. We believe it dates to the 1870's. Please refer to the
photos for the best look. Photographer's note: The blue background is making this item look much more blue and less black than is would appear with a neutral background.
Measurements
are: 4 ¼” end to end x 2 ¾” w. x 1” tall.
