Dollhouse party light turns on via small switch on the base, and slowly fades from one color to the next. Full color rotation takes approx. 30 seconds. The base is magnetic. Comes with a small adhesive backed metal magnetic disk that you attach to your ceiling, and then just hang the light from the disk. Could just also sit it on a counter or bar in the game room setting.
