This listing is for a antique, wooden, pill or snuff box. This older box features the portrait of a woman in formal dress of the era. Box is hinged and measures 3.25"x2"x.75" Hinge works well. Lid remains upright when opened. Remnants of paper inside lid where something was once attached.
This box has the patina of age. Wood and portrait of dark. Some bumps and scuffs are evident too indicating this was a used item.
Even with condition issues this is an impressive antique item and displays well and is functional.
Item was found among mother's things. Nothing is know of item's history.
