Vintage Cadence
Capacitor 1.2 F 24VDC CAP-1DR
This is a Vintage
Cadence Capacitor Model CAP-1DR for car audio. The capacitor appears to never
have been installed and is in good condition.

The owner’s manual labels the capacitor as having a High End Digital
Voltage Display. The Capacitor also appears to have a neon or display tube at
the top which is pretty cool looking along with blue flashing leds when
charging up. The plastics mounts and screws along with the owner’s manual are
still in the box. I did put a preliminary charge on it by following the initial
charging process (described in the owner’s manual) by holding a Bulb
between the + battery lead and the + on the capacitor. You must read the installation
manual first you cannot put power directly to the terminals. The box is not in
good condition. This has been in storage for about 10 years or
more. I did not hook this to a car stereo system the only testing
done is as explained above. This is a electronic item and requires knowledge of
wiring improper installation can or will damage the electronics. It is being
SOLD AS/IS NOT RETURNABLE. There is a video of the capacitor on you tube
showing it’s display during charge sequence.
